C. ADVICE ON SOLVING BUSINESS-RELATED PROBLEMS
Many businesses or organizations fail because they need to see the writing on the wall and are unwilling to change direction or innovate when everything we know constantly changes.
For instance:
Even though the track or bridge ahead of them has been wiped out, they don’t put the brakes on in time to avoid disaster. They insist on doing things the old-fashioned way, repeating what they are used to and hoping for good results when things need to change for better results because circumstances have changed.
The music industry has changed at one time. If you were a singer, you could get rich from royalties, but since the digital age arrived, you now need to make your money by doing concerts; you must be flexible, adaptable, and innovative to thrive in some businesses.
Many businesses did not survive the beginning of the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Some could not be innovative because of the types of products and services that they offered. The food buffet business suffered severely and could not innovate. However, companies and organizations that allowed their workforce to work from home ended up with decreased operating expenses and a more productive workforce. The businesses that were not innovative died or suffered a loss in revenue.
In this section, we are trying to communicate that you must evaluate changing situations if possible. If you can adjust and be innovative, you may have a business or organization that can handle unforeseen problems and challenges in an ever-changing global business environment. If you can adapt and be creative, your chances for business survival are better.
